HERSHEY – Two heavyweights stepped into Hershey Park stadium to face off for the 1A Title Thursday afternoon Defending Champion Farrell and ‘14-‘15-‘16 champions Bishop Guilfoyle. BG has beaten Farrell to claim the 2015 crown. In a hard fought, field position, defensive slug fest, Farrell prevailed 10-7 on a Brian Hilton overtime Field Goal
It was a cold and very windy day. Both teams had trouble moving the ball into the wind.

Then in quarter two Farrell had a short field after after a BG turnover. A nice run by Anthony Stallworth set up a TD by QB Raymond Raver for 7-0 lead.

The remainder of the 2nd quarter was just a defensive stalemate. We went to halftime with a Farrell on top 7-0.

The second half was a mirror image of the first. Both teams defensive squads were dominating. Finally a huge play Cameron Maloney to set up the a BG TD to tie things up

Both teams struggled to move the ball down the stretch and we went to overtime. In the OT Farrell’s Brian Hilton blocked a Guilfoyle field goal attempt. All Farrell needed to win were any points at all. The BG defense hung in and pushed Farrell back. All Farrell could do would be to try a Field Goal. It would be Brian Hilton with the attempt….and it was GOOD! Farrell wins 10-7. Wow.
